iNFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS:
- All solicitors must be registered through the Village at which point they will receive a badge. The Village requires solicitors to have their badge on their person and visible when soliciting.
- Commercial Solicitors are limited to the hours of Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and no solicitation on Sundays or Holidays.
- Suspicious individuals who cannot provide proof of solicitor registration or those soliciting outside of the approved hours should be reported immediately by calling 911.
- Although the Village registers solicitors, it does not endorse or support the company or product being solicited.
- Residents who wish to limit solicitors at their homes may pick up a free solicitor notice sign at Village Hall.
iNFORMATION FOR SOLICITORS:
- Solicitors must be registered through the Village of Woodridge and pass a background check. Apply for solicitor registration, here.
- There are two types of solicitors that are registered: (1) Commercial Solicitors - those that are selling a good or service door-to-door (examples include energy, home repair, etc.); and (2) Charitable Solicitors - those that are selling goods or soliciting donations on behalf of a charitable organization (i.e. Girl Scout Cookies, Lions Club).
- All solicitors should respect solicitor notice signs including signs that say, "No solicitors invited"
