Municipal Taxes

Tax OrdinanceThe Village of Woodridge complies with the Local Government Taxpayers' Bill of Rights Act. This ordinance provides fair and consistent tax processes and procedures for all taxpayers in relation to locally imposed home rule taxes such as utility taxes, occupation taxes, and business taxes. You can find more details in the village's ordinance outlining the Taxpayers Bill of Rights.
Home Rule MunicipalityThe Village of Woodridge is a Home Rule municipality. As such, Woodridge is not bound by the tax caps that limit non-Home Rule communities ability to increase their property tax levy. However, the Woodridge Village Board has self- imposed these tax caps in order to keep municipal taxes low for Village residents. In addition, the past four out of five years, the Board has voted for no increase to the property tax levy, further reducing the residential tax burden.
