The Budget-in-Brief document presents the budget in an easy to ready, summarized format for the non-financial reader. The first edition of the Budget-in-Brief was published with the FY2019 Budget.
ANNUAL CoMPREHENSIVE FINANCIAL REPORTState law and local ordinance requires the Village to complete a set of financial statements which are presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) within six months following the close of the fiscal year. The report is a culmination of the past year's financial activity and is the formal mechanism used to communicate to the public the financial status of the Village and its compliance with the Village Board's intentions and applicable laws. These financial statements are audited by a licensed, certified public accounting firm in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
The Village of Woodridge's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report has received the Government Finance Officers Association Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Report award since 2008. This award recognizes communities that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted principles to prepare a report that evidences the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
POPULAR ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORTThe purpose of the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) is to present information regarding the Village's financial activity in a simple and easy to read format. The information contained in this report is based on the Village's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, which is a more detailed and inclusive report.
The Village's 2020 PAFR was recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association for its transparency and easy-to-read format!
ANNUAL MUNICIPAL TREASURER'S REPORTWithin six months after the end of each fiscal year, the municipal treasurer must prepare a statement of receipts and disbursements. This statement is known as the "Annual Treasurer's Report." The report is published annually in a local newspaper.
