Pursuant to Ordinance #2005-35, as of May 30, 2005, the Village of Woodridge will be charging a fee for travel permits. A schedule of various charges for overweight or over-dimension vehicles is included with each permit application.

How to Apply
The incorporation of charging a fee for travel will necessitate your planning ahead to apply for a permit. The Village of Woodridge has entered into an agreement with Oxcart Permit Systems effective May 1, 2019 for all overweight and oversize vehicle permits. This new web-based system offers permit applicants a simple and effective way to obtain permits in a timely manner. Applicants must simply visit http://www.oxcartpermits.com and click on the “Carrier” tab and create an account to get started (Oxcart does not support Internet Explorer). Once the account is opened, the applicant will be able to request permits through an easy to use online permit application. Once the application is electronically submitted, it will be reviewed by the Woodridge Police Department.  Upon approval, the applicant will receive notice of approval through email. The applicant can then make a payment using any major credit card and the permit will be immediately issued in an electronic format.  The application must be received at least one (1) business day before your travel date.

Failure to obtain a permit prior to travel in the Village shall result in the assessment of potentially significant fines and penalties. If you have any questions regarding the application process, please contact the Woodridge Police Department at 630-960-8908.
