Business Licensing

License RequirementsAll businesses are required to obtain a business license from the village before operating the business. Business licenses are administered by the Village Clerk's Office. New business licenses are required when:
  • Starting a new business
  • Expanding an existing business
  • Relocating an existing business
  • A change in ownership occurs
Business Licenses Facts
  • An inspection of your business premises will be required prior to obtaining a business license
  • Your business license is valid from May 1st of each year until April 30th of the following year and must be renewed annually
  • You are required to post your business license at your business. It must be visible at all times from outside the main entrance of your business
  • In addition to your primary business license, you may need additional business licenses based on the conduct of your business.
