Lemont Road Project FAQ
This will be a running list of common questions received by the Village:
Q: I've heard that this project is going to generate 3,510 trucks per day down Lemont Road, and will operate 24/7/365, is this true?
A: No studies submitted to the Village would suggest that the reported number of trucks is possible. A traffic impact study has been submitted by the applicant to the Village, which is discussed in the staff report now available. Additionally – the project is being built speculatively, meaning at this time there is no information regarding the operating times of the building, as it does not yet have a user.
Q: How do I participate in the meeting?
Meeting participation is easy and encouraged. More information is above.
Q: How do I view the plans for the proposal?
A: Plans for the proposal are available by clicking here.
Q: I was told that the Village will not allow public comment at the Plan Commission meeting.
A: While the public hearing was closed at the July 20th meeting, public comments are always welcome at Village of Woodridge meetings.
Q: Why is public comment limited to 3 minutes per person?
A: The three (3) minute public comment limitation was a previous Village meeting practice that was furthermore adopted by way of Village Ordinance in November 2018. See Village Code Section 1-5-5.
Q: Why wasn't I able to "raise my hand" on Zoom?
A: This is to ensure that the staff member managing the Zoom queue reaches everybody. Raising the hand on Zoom alters the order in which members of the public appear in the queue to speak, and can result in people being missed. It is best practice to simply move through the list one-by-one and ensure that everybody is reached, rather than by calling on people by show of hands.
