The application for the Village Subsidy is a multi-step process. Additional information is available about the application process in this FAQ. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Village with any questions throughout the process at (630) 719-4729.

Step One
Families must first apply for the DHS Childcare Assistance Program by filling out the DHS application, visiting, or calling the YWCA (in English or Spanish) at:

YWCA Child Care Resource & Referral
2055 West Army Trail Road, Suite 140
Addison, IL 60101
Phone: (630) 790-6600
Fax: (630) 629-7801

Step Two
Once families receive their approval letter from DHS, they may apply for the Village Subsidy. The Woodridge Childcare Subsidy Program Application in English can be submitted to bcunningham@woodridgeil.gov via email, by dropping off the materials to the Woodridge Police Department, or by mail. The Childcare Subsidy application in Spanish is also available. Applicants may also stop by the Woodridge Police Department at One Plaza Drive (next to the Library) to apply in person.

Step Three
Families will receive a letter from the Village notifying them of their approval for the Village Subsidy Program. Approved applicants will then be required to sign a subsidy recipient attendance agreement that will be submitted to the Park District. A $50.00 per child registration payment is due to the Park District. This payment is required for the after-school and summer camp Park District programs and is the only payment approved subsidy recipients need. The Village and DHS pay the remainder of the Park District fees.

How to Register with the Woodridge Park DistrictPlease visit the Woodridge Park District Summer Camp website for more information about camp registration and policies. The registration form and payment are due 10 days before your child's first day of attendance. Families are required to re-apply for the Village Subsidy each school year and summer term.
