  • TV/Monitors, with maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. -15 stickers

Other Options:
LATEX PAINT DISPOSAL & RECYCLINGLatex paint is not accepted at the Naperville Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Facility.

Latex paint can be disposed of in your regular garbage if properly prepared.  First allow the paint to thoroughly dry.  Ideally, the paint should be transferred to plastic bags so the rinsed empty paint containers can be recycled.  The paint may be air dried, but adding cat litter, oil dry, sawdust or another absorbent material will greatly speed this process.  Once dry, the paint may be disposed of with your house refuse.  If you let the paint dry in its original container, be sure to leave the lid off so the waste collection driver can see the paint has been dried.

Recycle Latex Paint at DuPage County

DuPage County has suspended the Latex Paint Recycling Program in 2019. Several local Ace Hardware stores have partnered with Epaint to provide collection of latex based paints for a fee. Please visit the Epaint website for more information and pricing.

Styrofoam Recycling
Hate seeing polystyrene coffee cups going to landfills? What about your foam packaging around the new laptop you just bought? Most residential curbside recycling programs do not allow #6 Polystyrene, so now you can recycle foam at Dart Container Corp (315 Evergreen Drive, North Aurora, IL 60542) where 24 hour drop off - bins are outside. This recycling plant now has a new machine that grinds the foam into small pieces and compresses it into a 20 pound block. The recycled plastic foam is used to make sun visors, rulers, egg cartons, lumber and other products.

Be aware of the following guidelines:
  • Items must be relatively clean, so wipe clean your foam food packaging
  • Separate packaging foam from food-service foam - there are different bins for each
  • Only drop off food-service or packaging foam - no fire-retardant insulation or roofing materials
  • Packaging peanuts are not accepted
