I have been married to Barbara for 40 years and I have 3 children: Katie, married to Paul Haney, Brendan married to Meghan Carmody, and Brian. I was a telecom engineer at Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent, for over 30 years. I consider myself fortunate to have worked on a variety of different projects that have produced technology that people use every day. I helped design applications for 911 on both the municipal side and the telephone side of the network. I was a network engineer for IBM Global Networks. I also supported messaging and voicemail applications for telephone companies worldwide. I am currently an adjunct professor of Computer Science at Wright Junior College.
I have been very active in the community as well. I served on the Woodridge Soccer Board for over 15 years, drafting policies, rules, and implementing them for the good of the people. I served DuPage and Will County as a referee for rec, traveling, and adult soccer for 24 years. I have been active at St. Scholastica as a member of the Art and Environment Group, the Youth Group and the Liturgy Council.
