For minors under the age of 17, the Village has established hours for curfew. Curfew hours are Sunday through Thursday, between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday, between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

In the State of Illinois, it is illegal for any persons under the age of 21 to possess any tobacco product. This includes tobacco in any form, such as cigars, cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes and vapes.
In the State of Illinois, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to possess an alcoholic beverage. In addition, adults are responsible for alcohol-related incidents that occur on their property.
To ensure compliance with these laws, the Police Department conducts compliance checks on local businesses throughout the year.
