alarm systemsEach person holding a permit for the operation or maintenance of an automatic protection device or signaling device shall be responsible for any false alarms transmitted by such a device. The chief of police or his designee shall maintain a record of all false alarms so transmitted and, pursuant to the required notice and opportunity to be heard, may revoke or suspend the permit for the operation of an automatic protection device or signaling device involved in the transmission of twelve (12) false alarms in any twelve (12) month period. Each consecutive twelve (12) month period shall commence on January 1.

Charges For False Alarms: Residential:
To cover the costs of responding to false alarms, the permit holder shall pay to the village for each false alarm more than two (2) in any calendar year period, beginning January 1, transmitted by any automatic protection device or signaling device, $25.

Charges for False Alarms: Commercial:
To cover the costs of responding to false alarms, the permit holder shall pay to the village for each false alarm more than one (1) in any calendar year period, beginning January 1, transmitted by any automatic protection device or signaling device, the following amounts:
