Shatender Singh

Shatender has been a resident of Woodridge since 2002. He holds a Masters in Industrial Engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur, a top engineering institution in India. He has worked in countries including Japan, Thailand, United Kingdom, Belgium, Germany, and Brazil. Shatender works as a Business Applications Architect serving large corporations, such as British Petroleum (BP). He has also served as the Diversity, Inclusion and Culture Change agent and ambassador for various corporations. Outside of the professional world, he is also a trustee of the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in Lemont. Shatender is also a small business owner in Woodridge, where he partners with DuPage PADS to end homelessness. Shatender is excited to work with HRAC to incorporate his experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion change to give back to and improve his community. He also aims to develop community programs that will engage groups such as senior citizens. By serving on HRAC, Shatender hopes to develop new and enduring programs that will make Woodridge a welcoming place for people from all backgrounds.
